Netizen disclosed the traffic enforcer's pressure on jeepney drivers..

A netizen took to social media to share an incident she witnessed wherein a traffic enforcer is trying to abuse a small-time jeepney driver.

According to Facebook user Ghianne Lim, while riding a jeepney she noticed some traffic enforcers on a motorcycle are following them. While in the middle of the road the driver asked the enforcers about his violation.

However, the enforcers could not explain what sort of traffic rules the driver violated for them to flag him down.

Ghianne recalled how the driver repeatedly inquired about the violation but the enforcers could not state any.

When the driver finally asked for the third time, “Ano bang violation ko? Wala naman eh bakit niyo ako titikitan?”

To which one enforcer replied, “Disobedience to officer” because the driver allegedly refused to stop when they are trying to flag him down the first time.

When the driver finally parked his jeepney on the side, the enforcers ordered him to just follow the rules. They also said that the driver’s violation is for not wearing an undershirt even if he is clearly wearing a jacket.

The driver then pleads to the officers, “Maawa naman kayom ang hina na nga ng kita ngayon magagastusan  pa ako ng malaki,” to which the enforcers arrogantly replied “Makipagusap ka ng maayos kung ayaw mo magbayad ng malaki.”

After a few minutes of discussion Ghianne along with the other passengers were shocked when the driver showed them his injury and said: “Kayo ang testigo ah, sinaksak niya ako.”

Apparently, one of the enforcers is holding a knife and physically assaulted the driver. Out of fear from seeing the driver’s injury, all passengers went down the jeepney and transferred to another vehicle.

Ghianne still could not fathom why do the officers have to have a knife with them and even hurt the jeepney driver.
