Rider kinuyog ng mga raliyista dahil sa pagkuha ng video sa kanilang protesta

During the 3-day ASEAN summit hosted by our country, a group of protesters gathered in the street to voice out their sentiments against the government especially the visit of US President Donald Trump.

The rally was led by militant groups including Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) and other militant groups including Gabriela, Anakpawis,  Kabataan, Act Teachers, KMP, KMU, Anakbayan, Migrante, Katribu, Kadamay, and Sandugo.

In some parts of Metro Manila, the supposed peaceful protest led to violence after the rallyists attempted to breach the police force barricade blocking them to make their way to the US Embassy.

But the protesters’ violence didn’t end with their encounter with the police force, a video which is now going rounds on social media is showing how these protesters could inflict violence to just about anyone aside from the authorities.

In the video posted on Facebook, it could be seen that a motorcycle rider was mobbed by a crowd of protesters and even attempting to hurt the rider physically.

The video caption suggests that the protesters got furious when they caught the rider taking photos and videos of their mass demonstration.

The motorcycle rider was wearing a distinctive RG Community vest, so it is safe to assume that the rider was a part of the nationwide network of motorcycle riders called “Rider Guardians Community”; a group of rider volunteers that aims to extend assistance in their co-riders’ needs while on the road.

In the video, it could be seen that a group of men is physically hurting the rider while giving threats against him, some were even questioning him as to why he is taking a video while others are encouraging him to surrender his phone where the photos and videos were captured.

A few hours after the said video went viral on social media; ABS-CBN posted a tweet saying that according to the protesters, it was their standard operating procedure to prevent alleged “intel” spying on their demonstration.
