Sara Duterte ikinatuwa ang pagkatalo ni Mariel De Leon sa Miss International 2017..

Even Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio could not help but rejoice after beauty queen Mariel De Leon did not make it to the top 15 of Miss International pageant 2017.

In a Facebook post, Duterte-Carpio said that De Leon’s defeat is a “schadenfreude moment” for her or “pleasure from another person’s misfortune.”

Mayor Sara also shared that she has a firsthand experience with De Leon but refused to reveal the story as she is too tired to narrate it, but she gave a hint by likening De Leon to Miss Venezuela candidate during the 2016 Miss Universe pageant.

It could be recalled that in 2016, Ms. Venezuela became famous after being tagged as “diva” during the competition that was held in the Philippines. The Venezuelan beauty queen was reportedly rolling her eyes to other candidates and even stepped on other candidate’s dress without apologizing.

Although Miss Venezuela made it to the top 13 of the pageant, a lot of pageant fans believed that she wasn’t able to secure the crown because of having a negative attitude.

In the end, Duterte Carpio attributed De Leon’s loss in karma saying “gabà di gyud magsabà” Or in rough translation “ang karma, hindi nagsasabi kung kailan dadating.”

It could be recalled that De Leon’s name made a noise in social media after her numerous criticism against President Rodrigo Duterte and his war on drugs.

She was also lambasted by netizens after criticizing the appointment of Mocha Uson as Assistant Secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
