The Aquino administration's new fortune, fixed: P8.7 billion funded, could not be found!

General Santos City Mayor Ronnel Rivera admitted that a lot of investors are dubious and now questioning the controversial road right of way which was paid by the Aquino administration of not more than P8.7 billion.

According to Rivera, the investors are suspecting that the land titles to be acquired in the road near the Department of Public Works and Highways project are fake, this is because until now, the said road right of way could not be located in the province.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Rivera said: “Noon pa usap-usapan na na may malaking isyu ang puputok sa Gensan at ito na nga.”

It could be recalled that earlier this week, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre accused two former Aquino administration appointee of malversation scam due to the said unidentified road right of way.

Aguirre said that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will soon investigate the involvement of former Budget Secretary Butch Abad and former Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson on the said road scam.

He explained that Abad and Singson allegedly conspired in order to blow up the budget of the said project which land could not be located in General Santos City.

Meanwhile, Abad said he will not comment on the said controversy until the case has been filed since this project is already “above board.”
