Trillanes is back to business, hits Duterte “minions” anew

After President Rodrigo Duterte’s successful hosting of the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, his staunch critic Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is back to his usual business of attacking the President.

On Thursday, Trillanes reacted to the sedition, coup d’ etat, and graft charges filed against him by a group of lawyers before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office. Trillanes said that he will not let the “minions” of Duterte distract him from his quest in exposing the truth on the alleged murder and corruption committed by the President.

In a statement, Trillane said: “These Duterte minions are doing all sorts of harassment against me in the hope that they would be able to divert my attention.”

“Sorry, but I remain focused on finding ways to continue to Duterte’s murders, corruption, and secret bank accounts; as well as Pulong’s BOC smuggling and involvement in the P6.4-billion shabu shipment,” he added.

The Senator was referring to the alleged connection of Presidential son Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte in a Chinese drug triad responsible for the shabu shipment and smuggling at the Bureau of Customs.

It could be recalled that a group of lawyers announced that they will file several cases against Senator Trillanes citing his privilege speech on October 3, 2017, wherein he allegedly inciting the military to kill the President for saying that the troops might use their M-60 machine guns once they have discovered the ill-gotten wealth of Duterte.

“Kung makikita ito ng mga sundalo, M-60 ang gagamitin sa’yo kasi marami-rami ito. Mauubos yung magasin, kung P40 million yung hinahanap mo,” Trillanes said during his privilege speech.

During the said speech, Trillanes was reacting to Duterte’s statement he will allow anybody to shoot him once proven that his bank savings will exceed P40 million.
